Chris Gardner to write Ultimate Haley book

Chris 'Jellyroll ' GardnerThe Jive Cats' piano man Chris Gardner has been offered the chance to write what promises to be the ultimate book on the life and times of Bill Haley.

As a devoted Haley fan, Chris was delighted when a chance lunch time meeting with Bill's second wife, Cuppy, led to the opportunity of fulfilling a life long dream. Thanks to this meeting, Chris has been given access to never before seen documents, photos & information. Many of the original Comets are also willing to provide information.

Chris is spending the next few months creating a time line covering Bill's life between 1952 to 1962. This will involve many phone calls, e-mails and overseas meetings. Trips have already been arranged to Austria, Nashville & New Jersey.
He has also been involved in creating Bill Haley Central, the planet's most comprehensive Bill Haley web site. Why not check it out!

As a result of this mammoth task, Chris has had to put many of his other interests on hold, including the Jive Cats.

Chris in action Chris last performance was at the bands sell out 2000 New Years Eve party at JAGZ in Ascot. As ever, he laid down some formidable boogie woogie and helped to ensure the dance floor stayed packed all night
